Millennium Square, Sheffield

Millennium Square, situated between the Peace Gardens and the Winter Garden, is part of Sheffield’s ‘Heart of the City’ project and forms part of the ‘Gold Route’ through Sheffield.

Located within the square are nine large stainless steel spheres, of varying sizes, with water cascading over the surface of the sphere’s and forming pools beneath.

Ocmis worked alongside Sheffield City Council, Interserve and sculptor Colin Rose to design and implement the ‘fountain mechanics’ of the scheme.
