Farnborough Business Park Fountains
To complement the new prestigious offices at Farnborough Business Park, Ocmis were commissioned to design, supply and install two new water features. Working with Viewpoint and Clive McDonnell Landscape Design to develop the design works, and with Carillion Construction as the main contractor, Ocmis developed the initial concepts through to detailed designs and technical drawings and finally to successful implementation, helping to deliver this new office development for Slough Estates. The cascade feature consists of a number of sloping natural slate terraces with water gently cascading over and forming an attractive tranquil display. The systems operate on a shared water storage and plantroom facility where water quality is continuously monitored and adjusted ensuring a clean, safe attractive display is maintained. Wind velocities, in the area of the features, are monitored and the system shut down automatically if necessary preventing any problems caused by wind drift onto the surrounding paving or buildings. All systems are controlled centrally by a bespoke, Ocmis designed and built, control panel with LCD operator interface to simplify operator interaction and control of the system. |
